First-Year Applicants
Requirements and Deadlines
- Choose or Change to Obong University – You can select Obong University as your first-choice institution during JAMB UTME/DE registration or make the change afterward through the JAMB portal.
- Accept Admission Offer – Log in to the JAMB CAPS portal to check your admission status and accept the offer.
- Report for Screening at Obong University Campus – Visit the university for physical verification and screening.
- Submit Required Documents – Provide all necessary documents to the designated units, including academic transcripts, O’Level results (WAEC, NECO, or equivalent), birth certificate, JAMB admission letter, and others.
- Pay Fees – Complete tuition and other required payments as instructed by the university.
- Get Documented at the ICT Unit – Finalize your registration at the ICT unit for proper record-keeping and access to university systems.
- For Transfer Students -Apply for Program Transfer at JAMB State Office – Visit the nearest JAMB office to apply for a change of institution/program to Obong University.
- Print Your Transfer Approval/Admission Letter – Once approved, download and print the JAMB transfer approval and admission letter.
- Report for Physical Verification – Visit Obong University with all necessary documents for verification.
- Pay Fees – Complete tuition and other required payments as directed by the university.
- Report to the ICT Unit for Documentation – Finalize your registration at the ICT unit to complete your student profile.
- Ensure that your academic transcript from your previous institution is sent to and acknowledged by Obong University. The transfer process will not be completed until this is confirmed.

Obong University reserves the right to evaluate an application and render a final decision even if all pieces of the application have not been received.
Applicants are limited to a total of three applications for undergraduate admission, whether for first-year admission, transfer admission or a
combination of both. If you have submitted fewer than three applications to Obong University, you may reapply.
