Bio

Dr. Precious Augustus is a renowned scholar, educator, author, poet, On-Air Personality (OAP), and advocate for the girl child. She holds a Bachelor's degree in English from the University of Ibadan, as well as a Master’s and PhD in English Literature from Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Port Harcourt. With a specialization in Oral Literature, Literary Stylistics, Translation, and Language Documentation, she has published extensively in both national and international journals and is the author of Jak Itañ Ikọ Anaañ (Let Us Speak Anaañ Language). Her work is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of indigenous languages, particularly Anaañ. She has spoken at notable events such as ACTRIGHT AFRICA’s Conversations of Courage and Healing and the African Languages Conference. Dr. Augustus currently serves as the State Director of Training and Research for the Polling Unit Ambassadors of Nigeria (PUAN), Secretary of the Anaañ Language Development Project (ALDP), and formerly as the State Deputy Chairman of the People's Redemption Party (PRP). A devoted mother of four, she is also an active member of the Linguistic Association of Nigeria (LAN), the Literary Scholars Association of Nigeria (LSAN), and the Reading Association of Nigeria (RAN).
